RPL - Recreational Pilot License (GA CASA License, allows you to fly up to 1,500kg within 25nm from point of origin.

Recommended Pathways
RPC Pilot
Sunshine Coast Aero Club
Learn to fly the cost effective way in our Sling 2 RAAus aircraft. Then once you achieve the RPC add on the navigation endorsement to allow you to fly beyond 25nm from point of origin. Other endorsements such as tail wheel, manual propeller pitch control & retractable gear can be added to your RPC.
PPL Pilot
CASA Part 141 FTO.0343
Choose to learn to fly in either the Sling 2 (RA) or Cessna 172 (GA) aircraft in order to achieve your first level of license. If you choose to learn to fly in the Sling 2 your RA license, known as an RPC, will need to be used to gain the RPL (GA equivalent). After this begin to study for the PPL exam and start your flight training towards your PPL. Choose to fly the Cessna 172 or WT9 Dynamic during your training towards the PPL.
CPL Pilot
CASA Part 141 FTO.0343
After gaining your RPL or PPL you can begin training towards your CPL. You don't have to hold a PPL to be able to train for and sit the CPL test. Candidates will study for the 7 exams and build up to 200hrs total aeronautical experience before the flight test, your RA hours will count to this total. Your flight test is similar to the PPL but the flight tolerances are less than that of the PPL test. Fly the WT9 Dynamic during your CPL training and cruise at over 160ktas!
