REMINDER OF TONIGHTS EVENTS

Our Sea Eagles meeting, held at 5pm, will welcome special guest speaker, ‘Corndog’, a US F22 Raptor pilot.

At 6.30pm our President, Lenroy Trimmer, along with our CFI and Treasurer, Quentin Carter, will lead an information session on the acquisition of another Sling aircraft by the Aero Club. There are opportunities for members to be involved in finance of this aircraft through bonds. Information will also be provided about the proposed syndicate structure for Sling 8667. The Aero Club will hold majority ownership of all three aircraft.

Operations Update

Thank you again for your patience with the re scheduling of students this week. Sling 8667 is hoping to take delivery of its awaited part tomorrow and we hope to have it back with us early next week. 🤞

Thank you to Aaron Williamson this week for getting us started on the process of changing our booking system. From the 1st April (hopefully) we will be on Flight Circle. Further details to come……

Work Experience

This week we had the pleasure of having students from Coolum State High School join us for their work Experience program.

So far they have experienced life up in the control tower with Naomi, They sat in on a “Performance and Loading” class at AFT Advanced Flight Theory with Nathan and Vanessa and we were fortunate to take a tour of the Airside Fire Station. They were able to go on an airside tour with Rodney the Safety Officer and today we have had a great morning with McDermott Aviation and Bonza. They have also helped out with some filing and shredding! A big thank you to you all for a wonderful experience with this weeks students.

Some of you may have read on social media about our ssssspecial visitor this week in the hangar. Please ensure and double check the aircraft canopies are locked shut. This little guy was slithering around the hangar right after the snake catcher had left McDermott Aviation next door with another snake.
