Quentin flew the Aircraft from Toowoomba to the Sunshine Coast  on Tuesday after having to overnight on Monday due to poor weather conditions.

Not available just yet for private hire, I’m trying to release it from Quentin’s clutches  and will keep you posted .😎

The airport is running an emergency exercise out on the apron  next Tuesday and require  eager club members, Sea Eagle members,family or friends to participate in being injured crash victims.  

If you are free and would like to help them out please contact Admin as soon as possible. I will forward you an information briefing pack.

This Airport Emergency Multi-Agency Full Field Exercise, scheduled for 23rd May2023, will involve key stakeholders that will be responding in conjunction with Sunshine Coast Airport (SCA) staff in the event of an Emergency, and to test the Airport Emergency Plan (AEP). The Emergency Exercise will also facilitate exercise requirements for the following agencies:- VIVA Australia (Refuelling Operations).- Sunshine Coast University Hospital (SCUH)

Attendees Agencies participating include:• QLD Police• QFES• QLD Ambulance Service• Sunshine Coast University Hospital (SCUH)• Red Cross• ATC (Air services Australia)• ARFF (Air services Australia)• Oceania and Swissport• Trident Security• Airport Operators and Tenants• Sunshine Coast Airport staff

This week we say goodbye to Instructor Josh who is relocating to Sydney to fly a “caravan” for a sky diving company.  All the best Josh and thank you for your time with us at the Aero Club. We wish you all the best.
